Studio Sound Recording Sound Recording engineers operate and maintain sound recording equipment. They may also work special effects equipment. These engineers install, test, repair, set up and operate the electronic equipment used to record and transmit radio signals. They regulate the signal strength, clarity and range of sounds and colors of recordings or broadcasts. They also operate control panels to select the material's source. Course will cover basics of sound recording and reproduction, Music recording using Digital Audio Workstation, Analog and Digital Audio, Signal flow in mixing console. Mikes On-location recording, Dubbing Various, Recording formats, Mixing-mono, stereo processing, Introduction to sync sound. Use of compressor, Limiter and Noise Gate, Sound Effects, Sound Layering, Sound monitoring, Digital Electronics, studio maintenance and installation, Dolby and DTS formats. Sound recording is a technical job, which has to be tackled with, expertise In keeping with the mood & theme of the narrative material being developed. The use of artificial and natural sounds and their place within the context of the film is exactly explored. This training helps students to understand the techniques involved in the recording of dialogues, music and sound FX for Films, TV Serials, Documentaries and Ad Films.
