Studio Sound Recording Sound Recording engineers operate and maintain sound recording equipment. They may also work special effects equipment. These engineers install, test, repair, set up and operate the electronic equipment used to record and transmit radio signals. They regulate the signal strength, clarity and range of sounds and colors of recordings or broadcasts. They also operate control panels to select the material's source. Course will cover basics of sound recording and reproduction, Music recording using Digital Audio Workstation, Analog and Digital Audio, Signal flow in mixing console. Mikes On-location recording, Dubbing Various, Recording formats, Mixing-mono, stereo processing, Introduction to sync sound. Use of compressor, Limiter and Noise Gate, Sound Effects, Sound Layering, Sound monitoring, Digital Electronics, studio maintenance and installation, Dolby and DTS formats. Sound recording is a technical job, which has to be tackled with, expertise In keeping with the mood & theme of the narrative material being developed. The use of artificial and natural sounds and their place within the context of the film is exactly explored. This training helps students to understand the techniques involved in the recording of dialogues, music and sound FX for Films, TV Serials, Documentaries and Ad Films. Our Faculties

Satish Gupta is a sound engineering graduate from FTII working in the Indian Flm industry for last 4 decades. His credit has chartbusters like Bheege Honth Tere, Kaho Na Pyaar Hai & Sandese Aate Hain from the FIlm Border for which he won the Zee Cine Award for best song recording. He has also won the IIFA awards for best song recording for Kache Dhaage, Kaho Na Pyaar Hain, Koi Mil Gaya & Murder.

One of the most popular sound engineers from FTII who has recorded more than a thousand super hit songs with almost all singers, music directors and has been in the music industry since 1989, he is the head of sound design & music production department at Mumbai Film Academy.

Sajid Khan is a sound engineer having practical knowledge of recording dubbing mixing & mastering. He has an experience of more than 20 years and has recorded & created more than two thousand songs for the Indian music industry, he is an arranger for some of the hit film songs & music albums.

Arup Dey is one of the most liked and popular audiographers of bollywood who has been working with JJ Digital Recording studios. He is an expert in music mixing & mastering. He is an arranger for some of the hit music albums. He has recorded top singers like Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghoshal, Neha Kakkar, Shaan, Mika Singh & many more.

Jayant is a specialist in Fnal sound designing. He teaches Flm mixing, dubbing & surround sound. He is a sound mixing engineer having decades of experince as a sound designer with more than 100 Flms. Some popular Flms mixing done by him are Rock On, Taare Zameen Par, God Tussi Great Ho, Ghajni, Dostana.

He began his journey as a lm sound recordist from Famous Studios & Bombay Film Laboratories working with legendary music directors in the golden era of music. Later he joined Film Center & teamed up with Salil Chaudhary, Kalyanji Anandji, Viju Shah for lms like Tridev & Mohra. He enjoyed working with R.D Burman for lms like Parinda & 1942 Love Story.

S.D. Sharma is an experienced sound designer, programmer, music composer & a master in digital audio orchestrations having experience of over 20 years who trains students in Electronic Music Production. He has been training students of Mumbai Film Academy.

Rajib Choudhary is a music director having practical knowledge of music arranging, recording dubbing mixing & mastering. He has an experience of more than 25 years in Film music and has composed more than thousand songs for various singers from Indian music industry, he is an arranger for some of the hit music albums & Films.

Dilip Sen is a composer, known for Yeh Dillagi, Aaina and Ziddi. He is one of the most popular music composers teamed with Sameer Sen. He takes special lessons to groom singers for professional Flm recordings. He has composed songs for movies like Ishara - A Dangerous Mission, Icy N Spicy, Masoom Mohabbat, Ishaara, Jalwa, Mission Mumbai, Soorma Bhopali.

Mr. Uday Kamat is a Maharashtra state award winner for music direction. He joined the institute in 2006 & has mentored more than a thousand singers. He is an expert composer, arranger & singer. He has recorded music albums for Anup Jalota and many other composers, he has complete knowledge of latest trends in digital music recording.

Zakir Sadani is an expert faculty for rhythm at Mumbai Film Academy and trains students in Laya & Taal. Zakir Sadani is a popular rhythmist playing in live shows in India & abroad. He is a popular folk singer performing in live shows with his band.
