Cinematography
(Digital, Film Camera & Lighting)
Course will cover
basics of cinematography, Art of
camera, Detailed camera movements,
Digital Video, Special effects in
camera, Detailed study of Film and
Video Camera, Use of filters and
Lenses, Detailed lighting, creative
lighting and advanced still photography.
Film & TV is a
highly technical medium and using
the cameras and lights is a creative
job. The training of a cameraperson
involves understanding the potential
of the equipment as well as developing
an artistic bent of mind during
the training, The student is made
thoroughly familiar with the operation
and use of the movie and TV cameras.
Editing
The editor basically
handles raw material of moving pictures
and dumps them on a non destructive
non linear medium.
The student is trained to work with
high-end professional tools for
cutting & pasting the desired
video, audio footage. Practical
instructions, on-line exercises
and the postproduction work of film
and video are taught.
Script Writing
This intensive training
is intended to introduce the art
of screen adaptation of novels and
stories alongwith story for theatre,
radio, television and films. It
is also designed to help students
learn and develop ways & means
to get story ideas, concepts from
the vast literature available to
us.
Science fiction writing is relatively
a new domain where people from scientific
& technical background are encouraged
to become writers.
Direction
Course will cover
the basics of Direction and filmmaking
techniques. Understanding of different
formats viz. Documentaries, advertisements
& commercials, music albums,
TV Serials and films. Script Analysis,
Camera & Lighting techniques,
Music recording, sound effects and
editing.
